What is Bookal?
A booking and business management application for beauty salons, hair salons, barbershops, spas and wellness businesses. It covers the agenda, clients, services, payments and online booking.
Is it a subscription?
No. Bookal is a standalone script sold as a licensed product on CodeCanyon. You install it on your own server and run it yourself.
What do I need to install it?
PHP 8.3 and MySQL or MariaDB hosting. Bookal uses no framework and no build process, so shared hosting is enough.
Can I take payments?
Yes. Connect Stripe with your own keys or through Stripe Connect, in test or live mode, with a deposit or the full amount. Clients pay on a page in your colours. Payments taken at the counter are recorded too.
Can my clients book online?
Yes. Bookal includes a public booking page on your own domain and a client area where clients see, move and pay their bookings.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. The interface is built for phone screens, and Bookal can be added to the home screen as an installable web app. It is not a native iOS or Android application.
Can I manage a team?
Yes, with the optional Team Pro extension: members, individual hours and commissions, time clock, holidays and absences, cover for absent colleagues and a performance report.
Can I send newsletters?
Yes, with the optional Newsletter extension: a block editor, twelve templates, targeted audiences, sending in batches or through Brevo, and open and click tracking.
